Google Reader with Google Gears so you can use it offline would definitely be the best solution, but I don't think Gears works on Mac OS X yet. The benefit of the desktop RSS reader like NetNewsWire is that caches everything so you can read your feeds offline, which I really like. I've also just discovered if you use the mobile web version (m.newsgator.com), it will sync everything back to NetNewsWire, which is great.</description>
